Time and quality in construction project in Iraq

This research came aiming to focus attention on a declaration of the magnitude of the effect of lack of planning on the delayed completion of construction projects in Iraq at present; through which the factors leading to poor planning in managing time and quality in projects will be customary by conducting a questionnaire on a sample of engineers working in the Iraqi construction sector. The research sample included a group of engineers working in public and private sectors in all specializations. Where the research sample included 155 engineers of various specializations and took their opinions on the questions asked, and through statistical analysis of the data of this study, it led to the most important results: 1.The delay in completing engineering projects is due to the lack of a clear understanding of the concept of administrative and engineering planning for contracting companies. 2.The delay in completing engineering projects is due to insufficient awareness of the importance of time planning. 3.The lack of attention of the implementing companies and the supervisory authorities to the importance of the quality component.
