I. Ulusal bağımlılık araştırmaları sempozyumu bi̇ldiri̇ özetleri̇ kitabı

Bağımlılık, yalnızca bireyin yaşadığı bir sorun değildir; aynı zamanda aileleri, toplumu, eğitimi, sağlığı ve geleceği etkileyen çok yönlü bir meseledir. Özellikle dijital çağda bu kavram, sadece madde kullanımıyla sınırlı kalmayıp ekran karşısında geçirilen saatleri, dijital oyunları, sosyal medya alışkanlıklarını ve hatta yapay zekâ ile kurulan ilişkileri de içine alan çok daha geniş bir çerçeveye oturmuştur. İstanbul Gedik Üniversitesi olarak düzenlediğimiz “I. Ulusal Bağımlılık Araştırmaları Sempozyumu”unda, bağımlılığın değişen yüzünü farklı disiplinlerin katkılarıyla kapsamlı bir şekilde ele almayı hedefledik. Sempozyum, yalnızca akademik düzeyde bilgi alışverişiyle sınırlı kalmayıp; sahadan, kurumlar arası iş birliklerinden ve bireysel deneyimlerden beslenen bir paylaşım ortamı sundu. Üç gün boyunca süren oturumlar; psikoloji, iletişim, görsel tasarım, hukuk, insan kaynakları, hemşirelik gibi çok farklı alanlardan gelen katkılarla zenginleşti. Dijital oyun bağımlılığı, nomofobi, sanal kumar, yapay zekâ ile ilişki biçimleri, ekran süresi yönetimi gibi konular hem bireysel hem de toplumsal boyutlarıyla ele alındı. Bu sürecin gerçekleşmesinde katkı sunan ve bildirilerinin bu kitapta yer almasına izin veren tüm katılımcılara içtenlikle teşekkür ediyoruz. Umarız bu kitap, bağımlılıkla mücadelede yeni bakış açılarına, toplumsal duyarlılıklara ve çözüm yollarına katkı sunar.

Addiction is not just a problem experienced by individuals; it is a multifaceted issue that affects families, society, education, health, and the future. Especially in the digital age, this concept is no longer limited to substance use; it now encompasses a much broader framework that includes hours spent in front of screens, digital games, social media habits, and even relationships with artificial intelligence. With this symposium organized by Istanbul Gedik University, we aimed to comprehensively address the changing face of addiction with contributions from different disciplines. The symposium was not limited to academic knowledge exchange; it also provided a platform for sharing insights from the field, inter-institutional collaborations, and individual experiences. The opening speech by clinical psychologist Tuna Tüner was one of the most concrete examples of this approach. Tüner’s humanistic and field-based approach added emotional depth and social reality to the symposium. This opening reminded participants of the importance of a practical perspective in discussions about addiction, in addition to a theoretical one. Over the course of three days, sessions enriched by contributions from diverse fields such as psychology, communication, visual design, law, human resources, and nursing took place. Topics such as digital game addiction, nomophobia, virtual gambling, forms of relationship with artificial intelligence, and screen time management were addressed from both individual and societal perspectives. The contributions of experts working in the field and public representatives in the panels on “Behavioral Addiction” and “Substance Addiction” were particularly inspiring and educational, especially for young participants. I sincerely thank all academic and administrative staff who contributed to this process, as well as all participants who allowed their papers to be published in this book. I hope this book contributes to new perspectives, social awareness, and solutions in the fight against addiction.
