Özet
Bu çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet algısı ve flört şiddeti tutumlarını belirlemek ve birbiri üzerinde etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikteki çalışmanın evrenini, İstanbul’un Anadolu yakasında eğitim veren bir vakıf üniversitesinin hemşirelik bölümüne 2017-2018 güz yarıyılında devam eden 192 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Örneklem seçilmeden evrenin tamamına ulaşılmak hedeflenmiş, ancak katılmak istemeyen öğrenciler olması nedeniyle 175 (%61,1) öğrenci örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Veriler, tanımlayıcı veri toplama formu, Flört Şiddeti Tutum Ölçeği (FSTÖ) ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ölçeği (TCAÖ) ile elde edilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, sayı-yüzdelik hesaplamaları Kruskal-wallis, Anova test, Independent t testi, Man Whitney U testi ve Pearson korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamındaki öğrencilerin %11,4’ü flört ilişkisi sırasında şiddete maruz kaldığını ve %6,3’ü flört ilişkisinde şiddet uyguladığını ifade etmiştir. Öğrencilerin %7,4’ü aile içi şiddete maruz kaldığını ve %8,6’sı ailesinde aile içi şiddete maruz kalan birey olduğunu belirtmiştir. Öğrencilerin FŞTÖ puan ortalaması 4,53±0,96 ve TCAÖ puan ortalaması 69,93±10,8 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda öğrencilerin, FŞTÖ ve TCAÖ puan ortalamaları arasında pozitif yönde ve zayıf düzeyde ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin eğitimleri sırasında toplumsal cinsiyet algısı ve flört şiddetine yönelik farkındalık oluşturulması önerilmektedir.
This research was conducted to determine the relationship between nursing students' perception of gender and their attitudes towards flirt violence. The population of the descriptive and cross-sectional research consisted of 192 students who were enrolled in the nursing department of a foundation university in the Anatolian side of Istanbul in the 2017-2018 Fall semester. It was aimed to reach the entire universe without selecting the sample, but since there were students who did not want to participate in the research, 175 (61.1%) students formed the sample. The data were obtained with descriptive data collection form, the Flirt Violence Attitude Scale (FVAS) and the Gender Perception Scale (GPS). 11.4% of the students in the study stated that they were exposed to violence during the flirting relationship and 6.3 % of them stated that they were violent in the flirting relationship. 7.4% of the students stated that they were subjected to domestic violence and 8.6% said that they were exposed to domestic violence in their family. The mean score of the students was 4.53 ± 0.96 and the mean score of the Gender Perception Scale was 69.93 ± 10.8. As a result of the study, it was determined that there was a positive and weak correlation between the students' FVAS and GPS mean scores. As a result of the study, it is recommended to raise awareness about gender perception and flirt violence during the education of the students.
