| dc.description.abstract | Dünya nüfusunun hızla artması, sağlık hizmetlerine olan talebin giderek daha fazla önem kazanmasına yol açmaktadır. Sağlık ihtiyaçları, bireylerin yaşamlarının temel bir unsuru olmayı sürdürürken, bu alandaki talepler teknolojik gelişmelerle birlikte farklı bir boyut kazanmaktadır. Yeni tedavi yöntemlerinin geliştirilmesi ve bu hizmetlerin çeşitlendirilmesi, sağlık sektörünün küresel ölçekte dikkat çeken bir alan haline gelmesini sağlamıştır. Ancak, kaliteli sağlık hizmetlerine erişim her zaman mümkün olmamakta ve bireyler, ekonomik ya da kalite açısından daha avantajlı hizmetlerden yararlanmak amacıyla farklı ülkelere seyahat etmeyi tercih etmektedir. Bu süreç, bireylerin hem yeni destinasyonları ziyaret etmelerini hem de ihtiyaç duydukları uygun ve kaliteli sağlık hizmetlerini alabilmelerini sağlamaktadır. Bu durum, ülkeler için önemli bir fırsat yaratmış ve sağlık turizmi adı verilen özel bir sektörün doğmasına neden olmuştur. Sağlık turizminin sunduğu bu potansiyeli değerlendirmek isteyen ülkeler ise sağlık sistemlerine yatırımlar yaparak bu sistemleri sürekli geliştirme çabası içerisindedir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye özelinde sağlık turizmi harcamaları ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki, zaman serisi ekonometrisi yöntemler kullanılarak analiz edilmektedir. Sağlık turizmi harcamalarının ülke ekonomisi üzerindeki etkileri incelenerek, bu sektörün ekonomik büyümeye olan katkısı ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The rapid increase in the world population is leading to a growing importance of the demand for healthcare services. While health needs continue to be a fundamental element of individuals lives, the demands in this field are gaining a different dimension with technological advancements. The development of new treatment methods and the diversification of these services have made the healthcare sector a notable area on a global scale. However, access to quality healthcare services is not always possible, and individuals often prefer to travel to different countries to benefit from more advantageous services in terms of cost or quality. This process allows individuals to visit new destinations while also being able to receive the appropriate and quality healthcare services they need. This situation has created a significant opportunity for countries and has led to the emergence of a specialized sector known as health tourism. Countries aiming to capitalize on the potential offered by health tourism are making investments in their healthcare systems and are continuously striving to improve these systems. In this study, the relationship between health tourism expenditures and economic growth in Turkey is analyzed using time series econometrics methods. By examining the effects of health tourism expenditures on the national economy, this study aims to reveal the contribution of this sector to economic growth. | |
