Aim: The majority of hypertension is accompanied by stress, and the anxiety caused by this stress causes blood pressure to rise, and anxiety can lead to impulsive behaviors. Examining family relationships as a result of these impulsive behaviors played an important role in this study. In this study, the effect of the relationship between anxiety and impulsivity in hypertension on family relationships was examined. According to studies, when we consider the majority of individuals with hypertension, it is observed that there are also impulsive behaviors. The aim of this study was to investigate the level of anxiety and impulsivity of blood pressure patients and what it might be related to, and its effect on family relationships. This research, which was conducted with a group of hypertension patients in the Aegean region, is a study that has not been done before, to investigate whether there is a relationship between anxiety and impulsivity in blood pressure patients in the Bodrum district of Muğla province, and to examine their family relationships. is intended to. Materials and Methods: A questionnaire consisting of fourparts was used in the control and experimental groups to investigate the effects of impulsivity and anxiety on family relations. Thesesections are; The Socio-Demographic Form was applied to determine the demographic characteristics of the volunteers, the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) was used to determine the anxiety levels, the BarratImpulsivity Scale-11 Short Form (BIS-11) was used to determine the impulsivity levels, and the RevisedDynasty Scale was used to examine the family relationships. Results: SPSS 25.0 package program was used for data analysis in the study. Descriptive data on the sociodemographic information of the participants are given in the form of frequency tables. When the data of the study were analyzed in terms of normality assumptions, Kolmogorov-Smirnov values were determined as p<0.05. In addition, the division of Skewness and Kurtosis values to errors was found to vary between ±1.96. Therefore, Spearman Correlation analysis, one of the nonparametric tests, was performed to determine the relationship between scale/survey scores. In addition, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H test, which are nonparametric tests, were applied to determine whether there was a significant difference between the scale/test and the sociodemographic data of the participants. In case of significant difference between the groups, the post-Hoc test was performed to determine between which groups the significance was. The Games-Howell Post-Hoc test was chosen because the variance was not homogeneously distributed and the sample numbers were not equal. p<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Conclusion: As a result of the study, the variables affecting the anxiety, dyadic adjustment and impulsivity levels in individuals with hypertension were examined and the relationships between the related concepts were investigated.
