The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between music and mental training in professional football players. The research group consists of 252 football players competing in TFF 3rd League 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Groups. In this research, the demographic information form for athletes prepared by the researchers, the questionnaire "music effect on sports training scale" prepared by Karayol and Turhan (2020), and the "mental exercise questionnaire" prepared by Behnke et al. in 2017 It was prepared and the Turkish language form prepared by Yarayan and İlhan in 2018 was used.' For analysis of the data, the assumptions of normality were first examined and it was determined that the data showed a normal distribution. In this context, the T-Test was used to determine whether there was a difference in the comparisons of two independent groups, and the One Way Anova test was used for groups of more than two. Additionally, Pearson-Correlation analysis was used to find the relationship between the sub-dimensions of the scale. While a significant difference was found between the sub-dimensions of the scale of the effect of music in sportive practices and the frequency of listening to music, age, and intensity of listening to music, no significant difference was found between the variable of the sports year. Also, while a significant difference was found between the sub-dimensions of the mental training inventory and the frequency of listening to music, there was no significant difference between age, sports year, and music intensity. A significant relationship was found between the scales included in the study. As a result, it can be said that the music that the football players listen to before the competition or training increases the level of mental training.
