Üniversite öğrencilerinin tekrarlayan toplumsal travmalar sonrasında depresyon, kaygı düzeyleri ve işlevselliğinin incelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmanın genel amacı; üniversite öğrencilerinin tekrarlayan toplumsal travmatik yaşam olayları sonrasında depresyon, kaygı düzeyleri ve işlevselliğin incelenmesidir. Araştırma, eğitimlerine çevrimiçi olarak devam etmekten olan,toplamda 597 üniversite öğrencisi (ön lisans, lisans, yüksek lisans) ile gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırmada, veri toplama araçları olarak "Demografik Bilgi Formu", "Beck Depresyon Ölçeği", "Beck Anksiyete Ölçeği", "Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yetiyitimi Değerlendirme Çizelgesi-Kısa Formu (WHODAS 2.0)" ve "Kümülatif Travma Ölçeği-Kısa Formu" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, bağımsız örneklemlerin analizi için t test, korelasyon analizi ve çoklu regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre; üniversite öğrencilerinin en çok yaşadıkları travmanın doğal afet deneyimi olduğu ve en az yaşadıkları travmanın ise işkence görme veya hapse atılmış olma olduğu bulunmuştur. Araştırmada, kız öğrencilerin depresyon ve anksiyete düzeyinin erkeklerden anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Yetiyitimi düzeyinin ise cinsiyete göre farklılaşmadığı saptanmıştır. Araştırmada, erkeklerin hayatta kalma travması yaşama sıklığının, kız öğrencilerin yaşama sıklığından anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Aile-bağlanma travmasında ise; kız öğrencilerin aile-bağlanma travması yaşama sıklığının erkeklere göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Kişisel kimlik travması ve kolektif kimlik travması yaşanma sıklığının cinsiyete göre farklılaşmadığı saptanmıştır. Hayatta kalma travmasının, kişisel kimlik travmasının ve aile-bağlanma travmasının, depresyonu pozitif yönde yordadığı bulunmuştur. Kişisel kimlik travması ve aile bağlanma travması, anksiyete puanlarını pozitif yönde yordadığı bulunmuştur. Hayatta kalma travması, kişisel kimlik travması ve aile-bağlanma travması, yetiyitimi puanlarını pozitif yönde yordadığı bulunmuştur.
The general purpose of this research is; It is the investigation of depression, anxiety levels and functionality of university students after recurrent social traumatic life events. The research was conducted with a total of 597 university students (associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree) who were countinuing their education online. In the study, "Demographic Information Form", "Beck Depression Scale", "Beck Anxiety Scale", "World Health Organization Disability Assessment Chart (WHODAS 2.0)" and "Cumulative Trauma Scale-Short Form" were used as data collection tools. In the research, fort he analysis of independent samples t test, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. In the conclusion of the research; It was found that the most common trauma experienced by university students was the natural disaster experience and the least trauma they experienced was torture or imprisonment. In the study, it was found that the depression and anxiety levels of female students were significantly higher than the male students. It was found that the level of functionality did not differ according to gender. In the study, it was found that the frequency of experiencing survival trauma in male students was significantly higher than the frequency of female students. In family-attachment trauma; It has been determined that female students experience frequency is significantly higher than the male students. It was found that the frequency of experiencing personal identity trauma and collective identity trauma does not differ according to gender. It was found that survival trauma, personal identity trauma, and family-attachment trauma positively predict depression. Personal identity trauma and family attachment trauma were found to positively predict anxiety scores. It was found that survival trauma, personal identity trauma and family-attachment trauma positively predicted functionality scores.
