Özet
İnsanın, insanla ve nesneyle olan iletişiminin yine insan eliyle üretilen mekânlarda gerçekleşmesi; kendi gerçekliğini ifade ederken mekânsal olanaklardan istifade eden sinemanın yapısal oluşum sürecinde mimarlık disiplininden beslenmesini de zorunlu hale getirmiştir. Sinema tekniklerinin 20. yüzyıldan itibaren hız kazanması ise, mimarlık ile sinema arasında mekân ölçeğinde kurulan çok yönlü etkileşimin sıklıkla tartışılmasına sebep olmuştur. Bu doğrultuda, sinema ve mimarlık arakesitinde, bilim kurgu sinemasının ihtiyaç duyduğu imgelemler endüstri devriminin ardından üretim süreçlerine dahil edilen buharlı makinelerin yardımıyla estetik bir dil oluşturmaya çalışan "Ölümcül Makineler” filminin üzerinden hermenötik ve alegorik yöntemlerle irdelenmiştir. Kent kurguları ile mekân temsilleri arasında Post-Apokaliptik eğilimler ölçeğinde iletişim kurabilmeyi hedefleyen bu araştırmanın sonucunda, mimarlık ile sinema disiplinlerinin temsil, kompozisyon, hareket, zaman ve kurgu gibi yöntemsel etkileşimleri mekânsal değerlendirmelerle çözümlenmiş ve bilim kurgu sinemasının alt türlerinden biri olan Steampunk akımının mekân temsiline katkısı, sinema ile mimarlık arasındaki ilişkiye yönelik öngörülerle aktarılmıştır.
Cinema that is intersecting with a period when the architecture is produced at the scale of the machines and evaluates it as a universal representation method within this context, shapes the fictional experiences about architecture and also inspects the conditions of the experimental environments which were established for architecture by the science fiction cinema which makes a reference to the fiction of future. Concept of space which brought in new identities to the cinema as a functionalized gap, also enabled cinematic ideologies to be reinterpreted in mimetic sense. As a result of this research which aims to facilitate a communication between the urban fictions and space representations at Post-Apocalyptic tendencies scale, procedural interactions of architecture and cinema such as representation, movement, time, fiction and composition were analyzed through “Mortal Engines” movie with spatial assessments, and the effects of Steampunk movement which is one of the subtypes of science fiction were exposed with anticipations devoted to the relation between cinema and space.
