dc.description.abstractÇalışma, üniversite hastanesinde çalışan hemşirelerin afet konusundaki bilgi ve bilinç düzeylerini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapıldı. Tanımlayıcı tipteki araştırma, Şubat-Mart 2019 tarihlerinde üniversite hastanesinde çalışan hemşirelere uygulandı. Araştırmanın evrenini, belirtilen tarihler arasında bu hastanede çalışan 600 hemşire oluşturmakta olup örneklemi ise 200 hemşiredir. Araştırma verileri 38 sorudan oluşan soru formuyla toplandı. Hemşirelerin yaş ortalaması 31.93±5.14 (22-45)’dir. Afet denilince ilk akla gelenin %86.0 gibi en yüksek oranda deprem olduğu belirtildi. Hemşirelerin %41.5’inin afet hakkında eğitim aldıkları tespit edildi. Hemşirelerin afet hakkında eğitim alıp almama durumu ile daha önce bir afet yaşama, afet sonrasında kayıplarını tanzim etme, evinde acil çantası bulundurma, afet ile ilgili bir sivil toplum kuruluşuna üye olma, yaşadığı şehrin deprem açısından risk altında olup olmamasını bilme, çalıştığı hastanenin bir afet planının olup olmamasını ve afet ile ilgili tatbikatların yapılıp yapılmadığını bilme durumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edildi (p<0.05). Çalışmamızda afet ile ilgili eğitimli olan hemşirelerin, afet hakkında da mesleki ve bireysel olarak daha bilinçli davranışlar sergiledikleri belirlendi. Ayrıca hemşirelerin afet hakkında orta düzeyde yeterli bilgi ve bilinç düzeyine sahip olduğunu belirlemiş bulunmaktayız. 
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge and awareness levels of nurses working in a university hospital about disaster. This descriptive study was conducted with nurses working in a university hospital between February and March 2019. The population of the study consisted of 600 nurses working in this hospital between the specified dates and the sample consisted of 200 nurses. Data of the study were collected using a questionnaire with 38 questions. The mean age of the nurses was 31.93±5.14 (22-45). 86.0% (the highest rate) of the participants stated that earthquake was the first thing coming to mind when they heard the expression disaster. It was determined that 41.5% of the nurses received training on disaster. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference between whether the nurses have received training or not about disasters, experiencing a disaster before, regulating their losses after a disaster, having an emergency bag at home, being a member of a non-governmental organization related to the disaster, knowing whether the city they live in is or not at risk for earthquakes, preparing a disaster plan of the hospital where they work, and the state of knowing whether disaster-related drills were carried out or not (p<0.05). In our study, it was determined that the nurses who were educated about disasters exhibited more conscious behaviors about the disaster both professionally and individually. In addition, we have determined that nurses have a moderate level of sufficient knowledge and awareness about disasters.
