Özet
Sanayi devrimiyle artan enerji ve kaynak ihtiyacı, hızlı kentleşme, artan tüketim alışkanlıkları, kirlilik ve atık miktarı karşımıza sürdürülebilirlik sorununu getirmektedir. Çevre tahribatı ve iklim değişikliğinin harekete geçmeyi gerekli kıldığı günümüz şartlarında işletmelerin sürdürülebilirliği stratejik kararları arasına alması zorunluluk haline gelmiştir. Geleneksel uygulamalardan vazgeçmeyip ihtiyaç duyulan dönüşümleri yapmayan işletmelerin yakın gelecekte önemli sorunlar yaşaması ise muhtemeldir. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın amacı işletmelerde sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanmasında eko inovasyon uygulamalarının rolünü incelemek ve bir model önermektir. Bu amaç kapsamında literatür incelenmiş ve sürdürülebilirlik endişelerine karşılık eko inovasyonun bir çözüm olabileceği belirlenmiştir. Stratejik kararlar arasında eko inovasyonun önem düzeyi arttıkça işletmelerin sürdürülebilirlik düzeyi de olumlu olarak etkilenmektedir.
Increasing energy and resource need, rapid urbanization, increasing consumption habits, pollution and the amount of waste with the industrial revolution cause the problem of sustainability. Environmental destruction and climate change have become a necessity for businesses to take sustainability into their strategic decisions. Businesses that do not abandon traditional practices and do not make the necessary transformations are likely to have significant problems soon. Although the research on eco-innovation has increased in recent years, there is still ambiguous the effect of eco-innovation on sustainability. This paper seeks to fill this gap by studying the role of eco-innovation applications in sustainability and propose a model. According to the literature review, eco-innovation has been determined as a solution to sustainable concerns. As the importance of eco-innovation among strategic decisions increases, the sustainability level of business is positively affected.
