| dc.description.abstract | Turizmin gelişebilmek için barış ortamına ihtiyaç duyduğu yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Bir destinasyonda barış olgusunun ortadan kalkması ve çatışmaların meydana gelmesi uluslararası turist sayılarında dalgalanmalara yol açmakta ve meydana gelen bu dalgalanmalar gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkeleri birçok yönden etkilemektedir. Bu durumda meydana gelen çatışmaların etkileri bölgesel olarak kalmamakta ve dünya genelinde hissedilebilmektedir. Savaş ortamı yalnızca turizm sektörü için değil, diğer birçok sektör için olumsuz etkileri beraberinde getirmektedir. Bu da, savaşan ülkelerin komşularının ve uluslararası ilişkiler içinde oldukları diğer ülkelerin ekonomilerini etkileyebilmektedir. Geçmişte yaşanan savaş ve karışıklar bu durumun örneklerini sunmaktadır. Rusya ve Ukrayna arasında başlayan ve halihazırda devam eden savaşın başta Türkiye olmak üzere birçok ülkeyi etkileyebileceği şimdiden öngörülebilir. Kırılgan yapısıyla küçük çatışmalardan bile etkilenen bir sektör olan turizmin, savaş ortamına nasıl tepki verebileceği belirsizdir. Türkiye’nin turistik talebinin büyük bir çoğunluğunu oluşturan Rusya ve Ukrayna arasında 24 Şubat 2022’de başlayan savaşın devam etmesi, Türkiye turizmi için önemli etkileri beraberinde getireceği bir gerçektir. Bu çalışmanın amacı savaşların turizm üzerindeki etkilerini kavramsal çerçevede açıklayarak, Rusya-Ukrayna Savaşı’nın Türkiye-Rusya ve Türkiye-Ukrayna turizm ilişkileri üzerindeki olası etkilerini analiz etmektir. Bu doğrultuda Türkiye’nin her iki ülke ile geçmişten bu yana süregelen ekonomik ilişkileri ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca, araştırma sonucunda oluşabilecek olası etkilere karşı Türk turizminin gelişimine devam edebilmesi adına sektör paydaşlarına önerilerde bulunulmuştur. | |
| dc.description.abstract | It is a stubborn fact that tourism needs an environment of peace for its development. The disappearance of the phenomenon of peace and the occurrence of conflicts in a destination cause fluctuations in the number of international tourists, and these fluctuations affect developed and developing countries in many ways. In this case, the effects of conflicts do not remain regional and can be felt worldwide. The war environment brings with it negative effects not only for the tourism sector, but also for many other sectors. This, in turn, can affect the economies of the neighbors of the warring countries and other countries with which they have international relations. The wars and conflicts in the past provide examples of this situation. It can already be foreseen that the war that started between Russia and Ukraine and is still ongoing will affect many countries, especially Turkey. It is unclear how tourism, which is a sector that is so affected by even small conflicts with its fragile structure, can react to the war environment. It is a fact that the continuation of the war that started on February 24, 2022 between Russia and Ukraine, which constitutes the majority of Turkey's touristic demand, will bring important effects for Turkey's tourism sector. The aim of this study is to explain the effects of wars on tourism in a conceptual framework and to analyze the possible effects of the Russia Ukraine War on Turkey-Russia and Turkey-Ukraine tourism relations. Accordingly, Turkey's longstanding economic relations with both countries since the past are discussed. In addition, suggestions were made to the stakeholders of the sector in order to continue the development of Turkish tourism against the possible effects that may occur as a result of the research. | |
