Turistlerin gastronomi turizmi etkinliklerine katılım düzeyi: Türkiye UNESCO Yaratıcı Şehirler Ağı Afyonkarahisar ve Gaziantep örneği

Özet
Turistler turizm faaliyetlerinde birbirinden farklı motivasyon kaynakları doğrultusunda harekete geçmektedir. Turistik faaliyetleri sırasında yeme-içme eyleminin motivasyon unsuru olduğu gastronomi turizmi kapsamında bazı destinasyonlar sahip oldukları kültürel ve tarihi zenginlikleri ile mutfak açısından ön plana çıkmaktadır. Birçok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmış, mutfağını tarihi ve kültürel kaynaklarıyla harmanlamış olan Afyonkarahisar ve Gaziantep Türkiye'nin önemli turistik şehirlerinden olduğu gibi uluslararası alanda da zengin mutfak kültürleriyle tanınırlık elde etmiş olup UNESCO yaratıcı şehirler ağına dahil olmuşlardır. Bu araştırmada Afyonkarahisar ve Gaziantep şehirlerinden en az birini turistik amaçla ziyaret eden turistlerin ziyaretleri sırasında gastronomi turizmi etkinliklerine katılım düzeylerini belirlemek amaçlanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda araştırmada veriler Mayıs-Eylül 2020 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Toplamda 491 anket toplanmış olup eksik ve hatalı yanıtlanmış anketler çıkarıldıktan sonra 316 anket analize uygun bulunmuştur. Verilerin analizinde yüzde, frekans, t testi ve anova testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda araştırmaya katılanların; cinsiyet, medeni durum, ziyaret edilen şehir ve eğitim durumları arasında gastronomi turizmi etkinliklerine katılımlarında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı ilişkiler bulunduğu görülmektedir. Yaş ve gelir durumlarının gastronomi turizmi etkinliklerine katılmalarında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.
We can say that tourists have different motivation sources during their participation in tourism activities and they take action in line with these requests. The type of tourism in which the act of eating and drinking is the motivation element during the touristic activities is called gastronomic tourism. Afyonkarahisar and Gaziantep, which have hosted many civilizations and blended its cuisine with its historical and cultural resources, have gained recognition with their rich culinary cultures in the international arena as well as being important touristic cities of Turkey and have been included in the UNESCO creative cities network. This research was applied to examine the participation levels of the tourists who visited at least one of the cities of Afyonkarahisar and Gaziantep for touristic purposes, during their visit to gastronomic tourism activities. Data were collected between May and September 2020 in the research. A total of 491 questionnaires were collected, and 316 questionnaires were found suitable for analysis after incomplete and incorrectly answered questionnaires were eliminated. Percentage, frequency, t test and anova test were used in the analysis of the data. According to the data obtained, those who participated in the research; It is seen that there are statistically significant relationships between gender, marital status, city visited and educational status in their participation in gastronomic tourism activities. It has been concluded that there is no significant relationship between age and income status in their participation in gastronomic tourism activities. Some recommendations have been developed for local businesses, non-governmental organizations and public institutions.
