dc.description.abstractSanayinin ilk adımlarının atıldığı Avrupa'da ve asbest madeninin çıkarıldığı gelişmiş ülkelerde asbestin zararları öğrenildikten sonra yasal düzenlemeler ile cezai uygulamalar getirilerek asbest kullanımı yasaklanmıştır. Ancak ticari kaygı ve asbestin sahip olduğu özellikte alternatif bir ürün bulunamadığından dolayı uzun yıllar kullanımı devam etmiş ve maruziyetin boyutu giderek artmış asbest kaynaklı meslek hastalıkları ortaya çıkmıştır. 2000 yılı başlarında gelişmiş ülkelerin çoğunda tamamen yasaklanan asbest, ülkemiz gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerde daha geç yasaklanmış olmakla birlikte, gelişmemiş pek çok ülkede hala bilinçsizce asbest kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde ve dünyada iş sağlığı ve güvenliği kapsamında asbest maruziyetine yönelik yapılan düzenlemeler incelenmiş ve yapılan karşılaştırmalar sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre daha etkili önlemlerin alınması gerektiği kanısına varılmıştır.
dc.description.abstractIn the developed countries and Europe, the asbestos usage was banned after investigation of its hazardous. The asbestos usage was prohibited by legal regulations. However, because of the commercial considerations and its features not available in any other alternative product, its usage was continued for many years. Therefore, the occupational health diseases increased gradually because of asbestos exposure. In the most of the developed countries, in early 2000, the asbestos usage was banned completely. However, asbestos is still in usage in many undeveloped countries unconsciously. In this study, the occupational health and safety regulations applied in the case of asbestos exposure were examined and compared for Turkey and World. According to the findings, it was concluded that the most effective measures in our country must be taken against the asbestos exposure.
