| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmada, Üniversite eğitimi sürecinde olan gençlerin sigara kullanım oranları ve sigarayı başlama ve kullanımlarını etkileyen sosyo- demografik özelliklerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, genel tarama modelinde ilişkisel tarama deseninde nicel bir çalışmadır. Türkiye genelinde farklı bölgelerden seçilen 7 devlet üniversitesi ve 2 vakıf üniversitesine devam eden 489 kadın ve 257 erkek öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 746 öğrenciden Gençlik sağlığı durum tespit anketi ve demografik form kullanılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 25.0 programı ile yüzdelik ve frekans analizi yöntemleriyle analiz edilmiştir.: Araştırmanın sınırlılıkları dahilinde çıkan sonuçlara göre sigara kullanımının ergenlikte başladığı, üniversite yıllarında ise tüketim miktarının artığı, kadın öğrencilerin sigara kullanım oranının erkek öğrencilere yakın oranda olduğu, devlet üniversitelerinde özellikle Meslek Yüksekokullarında sigara kullanan öğrencilerin sayısının fazla olduğu, sigara kullanma nedenlerinde zevk alma ve arkadaş çevresinin öne çıkmasına rağmen ailenin birlikteliği, gençlerin spor ve hobileriyle uğraşmasıyla ilişkisi olmadığı, lise döneminde büyük şehirde olmanın sigarayı deneme olasılığını artırdığı ve özellikle Fen alanındaki öğrencilerin daha az sigara kullandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ergenlik döneminde öğrencilere sigaranın vücuda verdiği zararların kavramsal boyutta verilmesi önerilmektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | In this study, it was aimed to determine the socio-demographic characteristics affecting smoking and cigarette usage of young people who are attending university education with the Youth Health Status Determination Scale developed specifically for the study. The research is a quantitative study in the relational screening pattern in the general screening model. The sample group was 746 students consisting of 489 female and 257 male students who were selected from seven public universities and two foundation universities from seven different regions in Turkey. The data were analyzed by percentage and frequency analysis methods using SPSS 25.0 program. According to the results of data, smoking consumption is starting during adolescence period and the rate of cigarette consumption is increasing during university years. The ratio of female students who are using cigarette were approximately same as the male students. The students in vocational schools were smoking much more than students in faculties. The reasons of smoking were related to enjoyment, friends and living in a big city during high school years. There was no relation between the usage of cigarette with family unity, dealing with youth sports and hobbies. Students, especially in science departments, use fewer cigarettes because of their knowledge about effects of smoking to body organs and tissues. It is suggested that the harm caused by smoking to the body should be given in a conceptual dimension to students during adolescence period. | |
