dc.description.abstractBu araştırmada çocuk gelişimi bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin psikolojik ihtiyaç düzeylerinin bazı demografik özelliklerine göre belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya İstanbul ilinde bulunan özel bir üniversitede eğitimine devam eden 82 Çocuk Gelişimi Bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencisi dahil edilmiştir. Karma Araştırma Yönteminin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada nicel alanda betimleyici bir araştırma modeli olan kesitsel tarama modeli nitel alanda ise içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Veriler demografik bilgi formu ve Psikolojik İhtiyaçlar Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veri analizi sürecinde, yüzde, frekans, standart sapma, aritmetik ortalama, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve bağımsız örneklemler t-testi gibi istatistiksel yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda Çocuk Gelişim Bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin psikolojik ihtiyaç düzeylerinin burs durumuna, sosyo-ekonomik düzeye, öğrencilerin ikamet ettikleri yere, ailelerinin medeni durumuna, mezun oldukları lise türüne, anne eğitim durumuna ve kardeş sayısına göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği belirtilirken, bölümünü isteyerek seçmelerine, yaşlarına ve babanın eğitim durumuna göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği ifade edilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the psychological needs levels of first-year students of the Child Development Department according to some demographic characteristics. 82 first-year students of the Child Development Department who were selected by simple random sampling method and who were continuing their education at a private university in Istanbul were included in the study. In this study where the simultaneous mixed research method was used, the relational screening model, which is a descriptive research model in the quantitative field, and the phenomenological design in the qualitative field were used. Data were collected using the demographic information form and the Psychological Needs Scale. In the data analysis process, statistical methods such as percentage, frequency, standard deviation, arithmetic mean, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and independent samples t-test were used. Content analysis was used in the analysis of qualitative data. The analysis results were evaluated and discussed together. As a result of the study, it was stated that the psychological need levels of first-year students of the Child Development Department did not differ significantly according to scholarship status, socio-economic level, place of residence of the students, marital status of their families, type of high school they graduated from, mother's education level and number of siblings, but it did show a significant difference according to whether they chose the department willingly, their age and father's education level.
