dc.description.abstractCoğrafi İşaret (Cİ), yöresel ürünlerin, üreticilerinin ve tüketicilerin korunmasını amaçlayan ve kırsal kalkınmanın aracı olan bir sınai mülkiyet hakkıdır. Ülkemizde Cİ tescili için yetkili mercii olan Türk Patent ve Marka Kurumu (TÜRKPATENT) Coğrafi İşaretler Portalı’nda, tescilli coğrafi işaret ile ilgili üretim, dağıtım ve/veya piyasaya arz faaliyetinde bulunan gerçek ve/veya tüzel kişilikler yayınlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Cİ tescili ile korunan peynir çeşitlerinin tescil bilgilerini ve Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı veri tabanında yer alan Cİ tescilli peynir üreticilerinin mevcut durumunu değerlendirmektir. Çalışmanın birincil verileri, TÜRKPATENT ve Gıda Güvenliği Bilgi Sistemi (GGBS) açık erişimli veri tabanları üzerinden elde edilmiştir. Buna göre; 1 Temmuz 2024 tarihi itibariyle 41 çeşit yerli peynir çeşidinin TÜRKPATENT tarafından tescillendiği, bu peynirlerin 15’inin menşe adı olduğu, Cİ tescilli peynir üretimi yapılan 31 farklı ilde toplam 85 adet süt işleme tesisi bulunduğu, yalnızca 16 adet tescilli peynir çeşidinin ilgili veri tabanlarındaki kayıtlara göre üretiminin sürdürülebilir olduğu, TÜRKPATENT ve GGBS veri tabanlarında yer alan tescilli peynir üretici bilgilerinin %19.35’inin uyumlu olduğu belirlenmiştir.
dc.description.abstractGeographical Indication (GI) is an intellectual property right owned by the main producers of the product, which protects local products, their producers and consumers. The official site of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority (TURKPATENT) Geographical Indications Portal, the only authorized foundation for the registration of GIs, publishes individuals and legal entities with permission activity. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the registration information of cheese varieties protected as GI and the current information on production of GI-registered cheese that are approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The primary data of this study was obtained through the open access database of TURKPATENT and the Food Safety Information System (FSIS). Accordingly, it was determined that forty-one types of local cheese were registered as GI by TURKPATENT, fifteen of these cheeses registered as PDO, there was a total of eighty-five dairy processing plants producing GI-registered in different thirty-one cities in Turkey, it was determined that only nineteen types of GI-registered cheese has been sustainable according to official data recording systems and 19.35% of the GI-registered cheese producer information published on TURKPATENT and FSIS databases was compatible each other.
