dc.description.abstractBağımsızlık sonrası Romanya Devleti’nin Osmanlı Devleti nezdine atadığı ilk elçinin Romanya siyasi tarihine damga vuran Bratianu ailesinin ilk kuşak üyelerinden Dumitru Bratianu olduğu görülmektedir. Çalışmada Bratianu’nun diplomatik yazışmaları Osmanlı arşiv belgeleri ve dönemin siyasi gelişmeleri bağlamında incelenmiştir. Bratianu’nun klasik güç dengesi sisteminin bozulmaya başladığı ve yeni ittifakların kurulmaya başlandığı bir geçiş döneminde Osmanlı Devleti nezdine atandığı görülmektedir. Görev yaptığı süre boyunca Bratianu’nun her iki devlet için de ortak tehdit olarak telakki edilen Rusya’nın varlığından dolayı Romanya ile Osmanlı Devleti arasında güçlü bir dostluk ilişkisi kurulmasını arzuladığı ve Osmanlı Devleti’nin egemenlik haklarına hassasiyetle dikkat ettiği müşahede edilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractIt is seen that the first envoy appointed by Rumania before the Ottoman Empire was Dumitru Brătianu who marked the Romanian political history as one of the first generation members of the Brătianu family. In the study, the diplomatic correspondences of Brătianu were examined in the context of Ottoman archival documents and political developments of the period. It is seen that Brătianu was appointed to the Ottoman State in a transition period when new alliances were established and the balance of power system started to deteriorate. It was observed that Brătianu desired to establish a strong friendship relationship between Rumania and the Ottoman State due to the existence of Russia, which is considered as a common threat for both states, and that he paid attention to the Ottoman Empire’s sovereign rights.
