This research was carried out to determine the relationship between the levels of repeating thoughts and marital adaptation of married individuals. Within the scope of the research, it was also examined whether the repeating thoughts and marital adaptation of married individuals differed significantly in terms of gender, age, education level, economic level, duration of marriage and number of children. The sample group of the research consists of 200 women and 150 men, selected from married couples between the ages of 22-60, residing in Istanbul and participating voluntarily. The research was carried out with the relational survey model, one of the general screening models. Within the scope of the research, the personal information form created by the researcher was used in order to reach the demographic information of married individuals. In addition, the "Repeating Thoughts Scale" was used to measure the repetitive thinking levels of married individuals, and the "Marriage Adaptation Scale" was used to measure their marital adaptation. Correlation and regression analysis were performed in order to determine the relationship between the repetitive thinking levels of the participants and their marital adaptation. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that there was a moderate and negative significant relationship between repetitive thoughts and marital adaptation (r= -0.43; p<0.01). Independent groups t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to determine whether repeating thoughts and marital adaptation of married individuals differ significantly in terms of gender, age, education level, economic level, duration of marriage and number of children. As a result of the research, there was no significant difference between repetitive thoughts and age, economic level, duration of marriage and number of children. However, a significant difference was found in terms of gender and education level variables. While there is no significant difference between marital adaptation and only gender and economic level variables; It was observed that there was a significant difference in terms of age, education level, duration of marriage and number of children.
