Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı Covid-19 pandemisi sürecinde profesyonel kadın basketbol oyuncularının beslenme alışkanlıklarının, yeme tutumu ve depresyon durumu üzerine etkilerini araştırmak olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmaya Kadınlar Basketbol Liglerinde halen görev almakta olan 100 profesyonel kadın basketbol oyuncusu katılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan basketbol oyuncularının beslenme alışkanlıklarını, yeme tutumunu, depresyon durumunu ve iştah durumunu ölçmek üzere 4 adet anket uygulanmıştır. Bu anketler, sporcuların beslenme alışkanlıkları, farklı duygu durumlar sırasında tükettikleri besinler, günlük yaşadıkları duygu durumları ve yeme tutumları ile ilgili sorular içermektedir. Verilen cevaplar ile etki durumu hesaplanmaktadır. Veriler SPSS 25.00 paket program ile analiz edilmiştir. Pandemi döneminde katılımcıların %54’ünün bazı durumlarda öğün atladıklarını, %21’i öğün atlamadıklarını, öğün atlayan kişilerin de sebebini %38’i can istememesi olarak belirtmişlerdir.
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the nutritional habits of professional female basketball players on their eating attitude and depression status during the covid-19 pandemic. 100 professional female basketball players who are still working in the Women's Basketball Leagues participated in our study. Four questionnaires were applied to measure the nutritional habits, eating attitudes, depression, and appetite status of the basketball players participating in the study. These questionnaires include questions about the nutritional habits of the athletes, the foods they consume during different emotional states, their daily moods, and their eating attitudes. The impact status is calculated with the answers given. The data were analyzed with SPSS 25.00 for the Windows package program. During the epidemic, 54% of the participants stated that they skipped meals in some cases, 21% did not skip meals, and 38% stated that the reason for skipping meals did not want to die. In our study, the effects of the nutrition type of the social environment of the athletes living alone during the epidemic, the variable eating attitude that occurs in mood changes and the effect of depression on nutrition are seen in our research. According to the uncontrolled eating behavior scores, it can be thought that the athletes exhibited uncontrolled eating behavior due to the emergence of unbalanced eating habits and the reasons for skipping meals. In a study on this subject, it was stated that women's desire to eat emotionally increased more in negative situations. As a result of our research, it is seen that there is a significant difference between the emotional eating sub-title and the number of meals consumed in negative emotional states of the emotional appetite questionnaire, and when it is looked at according to the type of food consumed, the highest rate is seen in products such as canned food and fast-food (p<0.05). When the type of food consumed is compared with the center for epidemiologic (CES) depression scale, it is seen that the scores of those who consume fast-food and canned food are higher (p<0.05).
